
WINNIPEG - Nominations are open, and the Canadian Public Relation Society wants to hear who are the exceptional speakers in the Manitoba business and community world.
The third annual Manitoba Communicator of the Year Award recognizes businesses and individuals for their strength of public communications through excellence and creativity.
Past recipients have included Clare MacKay of The Forks North Portage Partnership, for her revitalization of The Forks' as a destination for visitors and locals alike; Heather Plett of the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, for promoting her Winnipeg-based humanitarian effort nationally and internationally; and Gail Asper and Kim Jasper, for their efforts to promote The Canadian Museum for Human Rights.
Deadline for nominations is Friday, February 18, 2011, with the winner being introduced at a gala luncheon on March 23, 2011 at the Fort Garry Hotel in Winnipeg.
