WHITBY - The latest search for home-grown talent wasn't launched on Virgin Radio, Much Music, or even in the nightclubs.
It got launched online, on Facebook, on July 11th. We're just spreading the word.
(Drum roll here) The Triumph Musician Search Contest is looking for musicians 18 years of age and older in the GTA, who would love for their music to get exposure. You can be a professional or an amateur, a cellist or a bass player. You could even win $2,500.
And who is it that wants to help promote the unsung singer out there?
Highmark Homes, a low-rise builder in the GTA. They're promoting their soon-to-be built urban town home community in downtown Whitby. It's designed to appeal to the young, the hip, the social media crowd. This crowd regularly uses Twitter, Facebook, and the hundreds of other ways to share information today.

But social media is also about giving back to the community. So, yes, they want people to buy these new homes, but they also want to show appreciation for local talent, thus this contest.
Do you have talent? Do you know someone who does? Enter the contest. Watch the video, it'll tell you where to go.
