Porsche debuts bicycle models at Montreal Bicycle Show
MONTREAL - The 10th annual Montreal Bike Show, which took place at Place Bonaventure on February 17th-19th, 2012, saw the debut of two Porsche bikes, both true to the iconic Porsche brand.
The Bike S and Bike RS offer intelligent performance with uncompromised attitude and state of the art technologies. Part of Porsche Design Driver's Selection range, these two built-for-speed bicycles provide urban mobility for those who lead an active and stylish lifestyle.
The Porsche Bike S offers an innovative design, thanks to its high performance aluminium 7005 frame that improves rigidity while providing optimum comfort. The toothed belt drive system and 11-speed Shimano Alfine IGH ensure ease of use and minimal slippage. Braking is ensured by the latest generation of hydraulic Magura disc brakes. A set of 29" wheels with tires optimized for rolling and handling characteristics are standard.
The Porsche Bike RS is designed for the ultimate performance. This sport bike impresses with a high-end carbon frame which offers high stability and extraordinary damping properties thanks to its newly-developed unibody construction. Also featured are competition-proven technologies such as 20-speed Shimano XTR gears and 29" Crank Brothers wheels which ensure maximum performance is put to the pavement. In addition, weight-optimized carbon brake levers are fitted to the Magura disc brakes.
Offered in S, M, or L size, the Porsche Bike S and Porsche Bike RS are available at your local Canadian Porsche Centre for $5,177.47 and $9,199.99, respectively.
